The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is Xiaomi’s latest premium foldable smartphone, officially launched in China on July 19, 2024. Priced at $1238 for the 12GB/256GB variant, the Mi Mix Fold 4 (also known as Mix Fold 4 Xiaomi or Xiaomi Fold 4) combines top-tier performance, a futuristic design, and versatile foldable functionality that rivals the best in the market.
This sleek foldable device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and features a quad-camera setup with up to 5X optical zoom. The Xiaomi Mix Fold4 is a perfect blend of power and innovation.
The design of the Mi Fold 4 is modern and premium. It features a 3D curved aluminum frame and an ultra-slim profile. When unfolded, the device measures 6.27 inches in height, 5.64 inches in width, and only 4.6 mm in thickness, making it one of the thinnest foldable phones available. When folded, its dimensions shift to 6.27 inches tall, 2.87 inches wide, and 9.5 mm thick, with a surprisingly light weight of 227 grams, which is excellent for a foldable device.

The main display, which unfolds to reveal a 7.98-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen, also delivers a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and 10-bit color depth (1 billion colors). The Xiaomi Fold 4 Mix packs a 5100mAh battery, supporting 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. According to Xiaomi, the battery charges up to 31% in just 10 minutes via wired charging and 24% with wireless charging in the same duration.
Under the hood, the Mi Mix Fold 4 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm architecture. It includes one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2GHz, two more Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.3GHz, along with the Adreno 750 GPU for high-end graphics performance. Benchmark scores include a Geekbench single-core score of 2105 and a multi-core score of 6575. The AnTuTu score is expected soon.
The phone uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast app launches and seamless multitasking. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for cutting-edge connectivity. The MiFold4 runs on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS.
Camera performance on the Mi Mix Fold 4 is impressive. It features a quad rear camera setup: a 50MP OIS main camera with the Light Hunter 800 sensor, a 50MP OIS telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom, a 10MP OIS periscope lens with 5X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens with a 120° field of view. Both front cameras (cover and main display) are 16MP. Video recording is supported up to 8K at 30fps on the rear and 1080p at 60fps on the front.
